Information on vaccination clinics

Please find below information on vaccination services across Surrey Heartlands.

Your Covid-19 vaccinations can be booked via the National Booking Service, where you can get an appointment time at your convenience, or call 119 to speak to someone.

Walk-in appointments for vaccinations are sometimes available, but they not guaranteed in peak times. To see walk-in options available to you, see www.nhs.uk/grab-a-jab.

Only attend a clinic if you meet the vaccination eligibility and people who are unwell and experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not attend clinics until they have recovered.

No NHS number is required but it does speed things up if you have it with you.

Please note that the information stated below is regularly updated. However, due to the complexities of the Covid-19 vaccination programme we advise you check latest availability details via the National Booking System, 119 or grab-a-jab to avoid inconvenience.

Covid-19 Spring Booster Vaccinations

Please note the NHS will not be offering Spring Booster vaccinations (details on eligibility below) after 30 June 2022. An Autumn Booster vaccination programme will follow later this year.

If you're aged 75+ or immunosuppressed take a look at our latest video, where Dr. David Williams provides all the details on your COVID-19 Spring Booster, including how to book.

In February, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) advised a spring dose of the COVID-19 vaccine for:

  • adults aged 75 years and over
  • residents in care homes for older adults
  • individuals aged 12 years and over who have a weakened immune system.

The NHS will contact those who are eligible to make a spring booster appointment, so people should wait until they hear from the NHS.

The NHS will prioritise those whose clinical need is greatest, as it has throughout, starting with those who have had a bigger gap since their last dose, then working through the cohort to invite others who have waited less time.

Everyone who is eligible will be offered a top up between three and six months over the Spring and early Summer 2022.

This new film follows patients at the NHS specialist Post-Covid clinic at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary, one of 90 such services that are now established across England, as part of a £224m NHS investment to support people experiencing the long term effects of Covid.

Featured in the film is John, who explains how the ongoing effects of Covid have impacted on his overall health and day-to-day life. As part of his assessment, John gets a psychological and physical check-up from a multidisciplinary team of NHS professionals to help him manage his symptoms and support his recovery.
